Drop Spot
We are lucky enough in the new house to have a hall closet and tiny "entry way." Our oh-so organized system of piling up mail anywhere we saw an open spot and opening the many love letters (bills) whenever we needed to use that open spot for something else - was just not working. I created a mail station that helps minimize clutter. I made the IN and OUT boxes using fabric and empty taco shell boxes. I stuck them to the wall over a large can which gives us a space to recycle junk mail immediately. It makes sorting a lot easier and since it is located right when you walk in the house, we see the mail often enough to "deal with it" sooner than we used to! I used all materials we had at home already, so it was a cheap fix but very valuable to our time and sanity! Here is the original idea for the boxes.
Headband Holder
I finally have a place to store Gwen's headbands, although we are already running out of space for them all! Here is where I got the idea. Instead of using an oatmeal container, I used a giant tea container. My hubby likes to buy in bulk so I had to drink a lot of tea to finally get to this project! It was super easy with glue and scrapbook paper. There is space to store brushes and hair ties inside.
